Are you an experienced Executive Assistant, with strong office management skills, seeking a new challenge? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.
Midlands Connect research, develop and progress transport projects that will provide the biggest possible social, economic and environmental benefits for the Midlands region, and they are seeking an Executive Assistant and Office Manager to provide exceptional personal assistant support to the CEO, and ensure seamless management of the office.
In this multifaceted role, you will liaise with senior stakeholders, provide ICT administration support, coordinateandmanagethedeliveryofeffectiveHR, manage diaries, coordinate new starters and leavers and provide support to the senior leadership team. Additionally, you will line manage the Corporate Services Officer, ensuring the effective management and smooth operation of the office.
Please note, this is a fixed term contract until the end of April 2026. This role will require you to be in the Birmingham office two days a week.
What you will be doing.
  • Be the main point of contact for the Midlands Connect office
  • Manage, coordinate and maintain the CEOs and the Chairs inbox and meetings, appointments and records in accordance with pre-set priorities, deadlines and requests
  • Develop, implement and continuously review the office management functions
  • Ensure that procedures are developed and implemented consistently
  • EnsureallrelevanttravelandaccommodationarrangementsaremadetosupporttheMCChair, CEOandmembersoftheMidlandsConnectteam
  • Manage and coordinate cover for the CEO where required, ensuring that their sickness/holiday/absencesarerecorded
  • Engender a supportive and constructive working culture

The location for this role is Alpha Tower, Suffolk Street Queensway, Birmingham, B1 1TT. It is expected that you can split your time between the office and working remotely, with at least 2 days a week spent in the office. Please note, this is the minimum expectation.
