Trainee Lift Installer Nationwide Join Stannah!
We are looking for a Trainee Lift Installer to join the Microlift and Platform lift division at Stannah.
In the Trainee Lift Installer job, you will assist in the installation and commissioning of all models of goods, platform and service lifts in line with company Quality Assurance Procedures, working alongside a Trained/Senior Installer.
This job will involve travel across the UK to sites and our Head Office In Andover. Candidate must be willing to stay away when required.
Our ideal candidate would have experience in mechanical and/or electrical installations and now looking to move into a specialised industry. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for training, development and progression.
Candidate must have a full UK driving licence and strong communication skills. A DBS check will be required for this job.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of goods, platform, and service lifts.
- Support in tasks such as erection of lift structures, wiring lift shafts, fitting lift cars, and installing doors.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and the company’s Quality Assurance Procedures.
- Perform site safety checks and collaborate with site agents and builders.
- Work closely with a Trained/Senior Installer and gain valuable hands-on experience.
- Prepare lifts for commissioning, assist in fault finding, and hand over lifts to customers.
Job Requirements:
- Background in mechanical and/or electrical installations.
- Familiarity with building site conditions and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of lift installation practices (desirable).
- Lift specific NVQ would be desirable or willingness to train for an NVQ and to progress to Senior Installer
- Driving licence is essentials
