Junior Secretary - Third Party Division (Litigation & RAF)

Job Description
Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with litigation process related tasks. Assist attorneys and senior secretaries in managing administrative tasks related to Third Party Claims, Road Accident Fund Claims and Medical Negligence Claims. Prepare and maintain legal documents, case files, and correspondence with utmost confidentiality and accuracy. Schedule and coordinate meetings, court hearings, and appointments on behalf of attorneys. Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel. Organize and manage the Third Party Division and RAF document database. Assist in drafting emails, letters, and other written communication as required. Perform general office tasks, photocopying, and scanning documents. Liaise with clients, court officials, and other third parties professionally and respectfully. Conduct legal research under the guidance of attorneys. Assist with billing and invoicing processes. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (further education in a legal or administrative field will be advantageous) Knowledge of the litigation process and basic legal principles (experience in High Court Litigation) Proven organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a diverse workload efficiently. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document preparation and data entry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using office software and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, legal document management systems). Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from senior staff members. Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Knowledge of the Road Accident Fund (RAF) processes will be considered a significant asset.
