Job Description
Location: Benoni, Gauteng Requirements: Degree in Purchasing/Procurement Management 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a foundry/manufacturing environment 3 years of experience as a purchasing/procurement manager role within a foundry/manufacturing environment Knowledge of product and service purchasing policies and practices. Ability to interact with vendors and aid various manufacturing departments. Must have syspro experience Responsibilities: Prepare, analyse, and coordinate with local suppliers for efficient delivery of products and services; track and develop reports to identify progress of cost saving initiatives for the facility. Review and processe purchase requisitions, purchase order adjustments, and local purchases; develop and assist with implementation of processes for efficiency improvements; provide customer service and departmental support. Supervise the quality of products and process from the supply area. Analyse, identify, and communicate information regarding purchase orders from vendors; identify, researche, and resolve problems relating to purchasing issues. Develop departmental communications; maintain and update departmental inventories for certain items, i.e., safety supplies and maintenance MRO. Verify and input vendor data into the system; initiate purchase requisitions and Purchase Orders as necessary. Coordinate duties and administrative issues within the supply department. Responsible for monthly and annual stock counts. Responsible for continuous improvement with regards to use of systems to manage stock and supplier transactions. Other tasks assigned by the leader. Comply with the laws and regulations of the department and the company's quality, safety, environment and occupational health management regulations. According to the company's annual quality/EHS target, set the department's quality EHS target, and plan the measures to achieve the target, and promote the implementation after approval. Define quality/EHS responsibilities of department members and conduct assessment. Responsible for quality/EHS training for department members. Responsible for performance management and development for department members. Participate and support all company audit program, internal or external including ISO system. Recognise and adhere to the company core values.
