Job Description

As a SAICA Article Clerk, you will be immersed in various aspects of accounting, audit, and tax work. Youll gain hands-on experience and develop a deep understanding of the profession, all while working towards becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)). Our client is committed to providing you with the necessary tools, guidance, and exposure to help you excel in your SAICA articles. Key Responsibilities: Audit Assistance: Participate in external audits, assisting with planning, fieldwork, and reporting. You will work on-site with clients, gaining firsthand experience in audit procedures. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS. This includes compiling supporting documentation, performing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. Tax Compliance: Contribute to the preparation and submission of tax returns for clients. You'll develop an understanding of various tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance for individuals and businesses. Client Interaction: Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing support under the guidance of senior team members. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and tax legislation, applying this knowledge to your work. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities. Requirements: Registered for Accounting Qualification OR A completed or nearly completed BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent).
