Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Credit Release Approvals: Manage the evaluation of credit reviews, ensuring that decisions align with the companys credit policy and risk management guidelines. Accounts Receivable Management: Take ownership of the accounts receivable aging report, tracking overdue accounts and ensuring timely collections to maintain healthy cash flow. Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date KYC (Know Your Customer) records for debtors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal company procedures. Insurance Declarations: Manage the monthly insurance declaration process Credit Policy Enforcement: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that credit is managed in accordance with established policies, mitigating risks associated with customer credit. Data Accuracy & Reporting: Ensure all relevant data is provided for informed credit decisions by maintaining detailed records of client transactions, financial health, and risk profiles. Risk Assessment & Fraud Prevention: Identify, monitor, and report potential fraud attempts, working closely with management to assess and mitigate risks that could affect financial stability. Customer Risk Profiling: Assess and analyse customer financial information to evaluate creditworthiness and establish risk profiles, ensuring appropriate credit limits and terms. Client & Insurance Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients and insurance companies, managing inquiries and aiding in a professional, timely manner to resolve issues related to credit and payments. Ad Hoc Credit-Related Tasks: Provide support for various credit-related duties as required, ensuring the efficient operation of the credit department and assisting with special projects. Requirements: Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 5 years of experience in credit management, accounts receivable, or related financial roles. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards. Strong understanding of credit risk management and Accounts Receivable processes. Proficient in maintaining KYC records and adhering to compliance regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess financial data and make informed decisions. Experience in managing insurance declarations and understanding insurance-related financial documents. Ability to identify and mitigate financial risks and potential fraud within the customer base. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in customer service and managing external client relations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring data integrity for effective credit management. Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
