What You'll Do
Principal has an exciting opportunity within our Benefits & Protection business, Distribution Technology Team. We’re looking for a full stack Software Engineer who will thrive in an evolving product driven organization. This position is available in support of our Wholesaling teams. The team works to capture key relationships, track sales, and surface insightful data to our sales teams via Salesforce as a core platform. The right candidate will have experience with Salesforce, AWS, and many traditional Java front & back-end frameworks. You will need to be flexible and a motivated self-learner. Flexible in that you are comfortable playing various roles within the team and motivated to continuously learn cutting-edge technologies.

Who You Are
We are looking for someone with:
Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience.
3+ years of Salesforce experience is required (Admin/Developer).
Strongest candidates will have exposure to many of the bullets below.
Additional preferred skills/experience:
Salesforce admin and salescloud (Apex/LWC).
Familiarity with Angular and/or React (along with proficiency in Typescript/JavaScript).
SQL exposure.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$77350 - $182400 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
