IT Support Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Desktop Support: Active Directory, supporting printers and video conferencing equipment Support hardware and software: oversee the setup, maintenance, and decommissioning of workstations (Linux environment, MacOS, Windows (server)). Server Management Networking: setting up VPNs and knowledge of LANs and VLANS IT Policies: Ensure IT policies are followed, including security (anti-malware) and user access management and track and manage the IT asset register Manage and monitor firewalls Participate in IT system improvements and projects You will be expected to travel to branches (about once per quarter: They are based in CT, JHB and Durban) Qualifications & Experience: 5yrs of relevant IT Support/ Infrastructure support experience including Desktop (including AD & software & hardware support), networking (able to set up VPNs with knowledge of VLANs/ LANs), firewalls support (ability to configure firewalls, ideally FortiGate would be a plus) and server management Linux experience Matric required A and N required IT Diploma would be advantageous Any certifications in Linux, MacOS, FortiGate, G Suite, Microsoft would be advantageous Personal Attributes: Responsible and organized team player who has excellent trouble shooting skills with strong attention to detail. Good communication and people skills and passionate about technology BEE candidates will be given preference
