Software Engineer

Our client is seeking an energetic Software Engineer / Programmer to join their team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, implementation, and support of critical information systems, platforms, and applications. This position plays a key part in driving technological innovation, including the development of a digital trading platform with integrated data analytics capabilities. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in systems design, programming , and/or software development and support. A minimum of 3 years of developer experience in Azure, C#, .Net , and SQL . Familiarity with modern architectural designs , including Component-Based Architecture . Database design/administration expertise (design, implementation, and modification). Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve system-related issues, work independently, and make sound decisions within architectural guidelines. Relevant degree, certification , or coursework in software development or a related field. Key Skills & Responsibilities Apply first principles thinking , lateral thinking , and systems thinking to solve impactful and challenging problems. Design, develop, document, analyse, test, and modify applications, programs, and integrations. Collaborate as part of a team, continuously improving processes while adhering to best coding practices . Work within DevSecOps and Agile development methodologies to ensure secure and efficient delivery of solutions. Maintain and enhance programming guidelines. Keep skills updated through education opportunities , professional reading, and networking. Core Competencies Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to work effectively in a DevSecOps cross-functional team . Capable of working independently and completing projects with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Fluency in Afrikaans is highly advantageous.
