Job Description
About the Role : As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support of the organization's desktop infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices, providing technical support and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance and user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities : - Desktop Support : Provide first-level and second-level technical support to end-users. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications. - Desktop Deployment : Deploy new desktop devices and software. Configure and optimize desktop settings. Ensure compliance with security standards and policies. - Software Distribution : Manage software distribution and patching processes. Deploy software updates and patches to ensure security and stability. - Performance Optimization : Monitor desktop performance and identify optimization opportunities. Implement performance tuning techniques to improve system responsiveness. - Security Management : Implement security measures to protect desktop devices from threats. Stay updated on the latest security vulnerabilities and patches. Required Skills and Experience : - Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11). - Experience with desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair. - Proficiency in software installation and configuration. - Understanding of network concepts and troubleshooting techniques. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of1 a team (ref:hirist.tech)
