Senior DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Pipeline

Job Summary : As an SDE - DevOps you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation required to support the continuous integration, deployment, and operation of our applications. You will work closely with development, quality assurance, and product teams to streamline our development pipelines, ensure high system reliability, and optimize our deployment processes. If you have a passion for automation, infrastructure as code, and efficient software delivery, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities : 1. Infrastructure Automation & Management : - Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability. - Automate the provisioning, deployment, and management of resources to ensure efficient utilization. - Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform. 2. CI/CD Pipeline Development : - Build, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins. - Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the code release process, ensuring quick and reliable delivery of new features and bug fixes. - Implement automated testing and monitoring into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure application quality and system stability. 3. Monitoring, Logging & Incident Response : - Set up and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems using tools like New Relic. - Implement logging solutions to enable rapid identification and resolution of issues. - Actively participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to maintain high system reliability and uptime. 4. Security & Compliance : - Ensure security best practices are implemented across infrastructure, pipelines, and application deployments. - Manage access control, encryption, and network security to safeguard sensitive data and comply with industry standards. - Work with security teams to perform vulnerability assessments and audits of DevOps practices and configurations. 5. Collaboration & Documentation : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, QA engineers, and product managers, to support development and deployment needs. - Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices to ensure team alignment and knowledge transfer. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline management. - Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (New Relic). - Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving infrastructure reliability and efficiency. - Experience with microservices (ref:hirist.tech)
