Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: North West, Southern District, Klerksdorp Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Construction Competencies: Detailed knowledge of existing technology in the industry, legal issues and complex regulations (including JBCC/NEC/contracts and contract documents) Ability to understand and interpret project design drawings Analytical skills associated with developing and utilising performance measures and cost savings In-depth understanding of construction, materials and pricing Mathematical skills CCS Candy Organizational skills Good written and verbal communication skills Building and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers and consultants Problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure Required Qualifications: 3 year University or Technology diploma advancing to a B-Tech degree after a further year of study or BSC QS degree. Knowledge of costs and prices of work, labour, materials and plant required Experience: Minimum 5- 10 years quantity surveying experience within the Mechanical, Electrical and General building contracting organizations. Working Conditions: The role is based on-site at construction projects. Overtime work may be required Valid South African drivers licence required Site visits/inspections will be required Site medical tests required
