Job Description

Qualifications & Skills: Experience : Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience within mining (MHSA environment). Languages : Fluent in English and/or Afrikaans. Driver's Licence : Valid and up-to-date. Availability : Willing to work weekends and overtime when required. Leadership : Proven ability to manage teams effectively and maintain high performance standards. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address unexpected on-site challenges. Communication : Excellent verbal and written skills to liaise with internal teams, project managers, and stakeholders. Technical Knowledge : Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Equipment Expertise : Experience with heavy construction equipment and machinery. Preferred Certifications : Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., First Aid, Safety Supervisor) are an advantage. Your Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all site activities, including construction operations , logistics, workforce coordination, and safety compliance. Ensure the project is completed safely , efficiently, and in line with local regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. Develop and implement site plans, schedules, and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize delays. Provide leadership to site supervisors, foremen, and personnel to meet project goals. Manage resources effectively, including labour, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper allocation. Conduct regular safety audits , enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote safe work practices. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor project progress, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain high-quality standards by addressing any deficiencies and ensuring all work meets project specifications. Document work progress, safety compliance, and incident reports while fostering teamwork and a positive on-site culture.
