Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the deli kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Lead, inspire, and manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Design and develop seasonal menus, incorporating fresh, local ingredients, and deli specialties. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards, with attention to detail and consistency. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a cost-effective and well-stocked kitchen. Maintain compliance with food safety and health regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a deli, café, or restaurant environment. Passion for deli-style cuisine, with a creative flair and knowledge of contemporary food trends. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire. Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
