About The Position


Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET, Monday to Friday

Location: HYBRID in Doral, FL


Position Summary


The Cash Posting Specialist is responsible for ensuring all payments received are posted accurately in the accounting systems. The Cash Posting Specialist will work within the scope of responsibilities as dictated below with guidance and support from General Administration & Accounting leadership teams.


Essential Functions

  • Processes manual payment posting from primary and secondary insurance by checks and/or credit cards to patient's account.
  • Organizes remittance advice in the order they are received and posted.
  • Verifies that insurance information on file matches remittance advice.
  • Balances and runs final recap for all folders.
  • Pulls remits as needed.
  • Investigates discrepancies between remittance payment amounts and the check edit report.
  • Forwards supplemental issues to the appropriate department for investigation.
  • Supports team as needed.
  • Is reliable, engaged, and provides feedback as to improve processes and policies.
  • Attends all department, team, and company meetings as required.

  • May perform any additional responsibilities or special projects as required.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based upon the needs of the department.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and processing claims
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices
  • Proficiency in basic math and business calculations
  • Working knowledge of computer/data entry with the ability to learn new systems
  • Basic level of accounting software proficiency
  • Basic level of MS Office proficiency

Compensation Package


Pay ranges may vary depending on location. Actual compensation depends on education, experience, and relevant skills.
