Description & Requirements
The Batch Operations engineer will be part of the team responsible for running a continuous, 365 day schedule of Autosys batch jobs in support of Project operations. The Snr Engineer coordinates with project operations and team to develop and deliver requested jobs and schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the systems requirements and specifications gathering, review and verification processes.
- Translate business requirements into system specifications and functional designs.
- Support and Actively contribute to the elaboration and execution of the various test strategies applicable to the systems projects.
- Review and monitor execution and completion of system processes.
- Establish and perform quality reviews of process outputs.
- Perform activities required to produce system documentation (e.g., design specifications, user manuals) and provide end user training as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact and client interface for data and functional analysis.
- Participate in project meetings to represent MAXIMUS in addressing needs of the client and other project stakeholders participate in systems testing activities.
- Work with stakeholders in defining solution to business problem or change request.
- Prepare system documentation, such as functional specifications, release notes.
- Perform duties in conjunction with above requirements such as status reports, team meetings.
- Review and provide feedback on deliverables such as system requirements specifications and test cases.
- Implement process improvement by creating documentation and training Team members on technical and functional processes.
• Architect, design, and implement advanced Autosys solutions to support business critical scheduling needs. Develop and maintain complex job workflows, job dependencies, and scheduling policies.
• Lead a team of Autosys developers, providing technical guidance, reviewing code, and ensuring best practices in job scheduling and automation. Train and mentor junior developers on Autosys and related technologies.
• Quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve scheduling issues. Ensure high availability and performance by proactively addressing bottlenecks and implementing preventive measures.
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and application teams to translate business requirements into effective Autosys job scheduling solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation for job schedules, workflows, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure that knowledge is effectively shared across the team.
• Ensure all Autosys jobs and related scripts adhere to organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; field of study in Science/Technology/Engineering or Mathematics preferred.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. Minimum Requirements

- 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Deep understanding of Autosys job scheduling (AutoSys r11.x/r12 or higher preferred).
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex job dependencies.
- 3+ years of experience in a lead or senior developer role, overseeing and mentoring a team.
- Strong experience with scripting languages, such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and basic Windows knowledge.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into system requirements.
- Ensures that MAXIMUS is in compliance with all applicable requirements of the contract, state and federal regulations, and the terms and conditions of the RFP and proposal.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel and team members
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
- Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and document processes.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in job scheduling and execution.
- Version Control Systems: Experience with version control tools like Git. We want to make sure those batch scripts in different projects are in version control.
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms especially in AWS recommended.
- Additional Software: Knowledge of OnBase and Axway SecureTransport can be advantageous
