Base Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
Direct Hire (open to temp support)
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to support financial operations, ensuring smooth integration between program/project management and accounting functions. Compensation:
$55K-$60K (DOE)
What you'll be doing:
• General Ledger (GL) Support: Perform reconciliations and accounting entries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project costs and revenue.
• Revenue Recognition: Work with Blevins to calculate and post revenue, utilizing % complete assessments for projects.
• Purchase Orders (POs): Support PO creation and management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project needs.
• Billing: Handle client and subcontractor billing, including pay apps and ensuring timely payments.
• Data Integrity: Assist with maintaining accurate project data in the GL and other reporting systems.
• Cost Tracking: Utilize job and cost codes to track and report project performance and ensure data integrity.
• Reporting: Work closely with reporting teams to generate and interpret reports based on cost and job coding.

Requirements for the role
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in construction accounting (experience in manufacturing is a plus but not required).
Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency is a must. Experience with Business Central is a significant plus. Knowledge: Must have a solid understanding of revenue recognition, subcontractor pay apps, PO issuance, and general ledger reconciliations.
Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
Industry Experience: A background in construction accounting is required. Experience in manufacturing is a plus but secondary to construction expertise.
