Accounting Lead (Indianapolis)

Taft is currently seeking an Accounting Lead to join our Accounting team in our Indianapolis office.

We are seeking an Accounting Lead with at least 5 years' experience to support our Indianapolis Accounting department. All Taft employees operate under a "Client First" philosophy-in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises local accounting staff in Indianapolis, primarily in the functions of billing, cash application/accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Addresses questions related to billing and cash application.
• Review billing reports and invoices for accuracy.
• Ensure month end posting is completed for all accounts payable and cash posting.
• Ensures internal controls and audit trail documentation procedures are followed.
• Supports staff and ensures balanced workloads.

Knowledge Abilities, Skills, Interpersonal and Other Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's (B.A) degree in accounting or Finance or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of five years' experience in accounting or finance; payroll and supervisory experience strongly preferred.
