What do we need?


We are seeking an entry level employee to review document requests in the Collect system. Investigate contacts and pull documents by navigating client systems to locate, retrieve, or request documents. The overall goal is to support company goals and the DCD Document Processor role. They are the gatekeeper for all incoming and outgoing correspondence of any kind using mail, fax, uploading to ftp sites and occasionally email and DVD.


What will you provide?



  • Manage assigned WIP (Work in Progress) list daily to reduce the outstanding items.

    • Understand what document(s) are being requested from operators and retrieve them from multiple client hospital accounting and imaging systems.


  • Notate accounts in Collect when documents have been pulled and distribute to proper staff for further processing. (documents are saved to the Account in COLLECT.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to handle varied and large volume of work with ease.

  • Able to meet and exceed established goals for the position.

  • Follows established department processes and procedures.

  • Follows established client processes and procedures.

  • Adheres to company and client security policies to protect confidential information and adhere to HIPPA guidelines regarding PHI.

  • Maintain work area in a professional and HIPAA compliant state.

  • Promotes positive attitude and flexibility with changes that occur.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; requesting assistance when needed.

  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among internal departments.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks and lending help to others when needed.

  • Exhibits clear and complete communication when documenting company or client systems and when speaking to internal or external customers.

  • Scan documents as needed.

  • Assist with other department needs or projects as assigned.

  • Receive all packages & mail. Mail is then scanned and attached to the correct account in COLLECT.

  • Prepare all outgoing mail as directed by R.R.S.


Requirements



  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to achieve business goals.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills

  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding Patient Health Information (PHI) as well as follows HIPAA regulations is anticipated for this position


Education and Experience



  • High School Education or equivalent required

  • Healthcare knowledge preferred

The US base pay range for this position starts at $15.00 hourly. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary, a competitive benefits package is offered.
