Job Description
Title: Lead Structural Engineer
Local: Syracuse, NY
Duration: Permanent/Direct-Hire
Salary: 100K – 150K, DPOEAbout:
We are seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to supervise a team of engineers, designers, and technicians in the creation of structural construction documents for large, complex projects. This role involves overseeing the development of system layouts, performing calculations, coordinating with other disciplines, and conducting site visits to document existing conditions and estimate costs.
Key responsibilities include preparing technical specifications, reviewing shop drawings and product submittals, and conducting construction site inspections. You will manage project budgets, maintain client relationships, and prepare engineering reports. Additionally, you’ll stay updated on industry advancements and work closely with regional managers to allocate workloads and assist in business proposal preparation.
Requirements:
– 15+ years of experience in consulting engineering
– Strong writing, communication, and deadline management skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
– New York State PE license
– Revit and computer analysis software experience are a plus.
