    Certification DetailsBLS
      Job DetailsLarge Level 1 hospital in Mississippi needs RN's for General MedSurg Unit.Must have solid experience as an RN with emphasis on high acuity patient care and comfort with lines, chest tubes.Experience with EPIC CHARTING is required.
        Job RequirementsSolid experience as RN preferred, especially with level 1 trauma experience or in a very large medical center.BLS required.Comfortable with lines, chest tubes.Experience with EPIC CHARTING.
          Schedule InformationExpected to work 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7p-7a.Flexible with holidays, with a rotation ensuring some time off if requested.Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month is standard.No call or standby requirement.Managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows.
            Unit Specific InformationUnit: Med/Surg 6 South - General MedSurgTypical nurse-to-patient ratios for medsurg units are 1:5 up to 1:6.Charge nurse may take light to full patient assignment depending on needs.Floating requirements within skillset among all medsurg units.
              Additional DetailsFLU VACCINE IS REQUIRED, with only medical exemption allowed requiring documented evidence.Flexible holiday RTO, with the possibility of having either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve or New Year's Day off.New unit opening, orientation begins end of November.Willing to consider local contracts.
