Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in the natural food ingredients sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and approach potential clients, including food manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments, innovations, and regulatory changes in natural food ingredients.
  • Provide clients with expert advice on product applications, benefits, and differentiation.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on business goals and client needs.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Track sales metrics and prepare regular reports on performance, market trends, and client feedback.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make informed business decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, both virtually and in person.
  • Build a strong professional network to enhance business development opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the natural food ingredients industry or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, client needs, and competitive landscape in the natural food sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
