Teledyne Interconnect Solutions specializes in application specific cable and interconnect solutions for land, water, air, and space.

SUMMARY

Promotes the sale of Teledyne Interconnect Solutions products, primarily within the oil and gas industry, by visiting current and potential customers, presenting our capabilities & services, seeking new applications, enhancing relationships with current and new contacts and fostering good will.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Identify, initiate and build relationships with important accounts to grow business base.
  • Assist in the evaluation and pursuit of key accounts sharing tactics and agreeing on sales strategy.
  • Develop new leads using industry and customer experience to uncover new potential customers within similar market segments.
  • Continually seek to uncover new applications with new and existing contacts.
  • Continually seek to identify new contacts within new/existing companies.
  • To the best of ability, provide technical product support.
  • Using customer contact experience, assist in new applications proposal generation and provide contract review input.
  • Seek out and communicate possible product development opportunities that may be uncovered while visiting customers.
  • Identify and report significant trends especially when supporting multiple accounts within the same market segment.
  • Formulate specific customer visit strategy that promotes an immediate return or satisfies a specific short-term goal.
  • Onsite customer visits and communication via e-mail and phone to promote our strategic long-term relationship building agenda.
  • Actively participate in research activities.
  • As required, prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales within assigned geographic territory.
  • Represents Company at trade shows etc. to promote product.
  • Assist in market development research by performing rudimentary or refined internet research in collaboration with inside sales personnel or management.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive written activity, data collection and detailed expense reports.
  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field and ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of proven sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be able to rapidly learn and acquire skills in the use of customer account management software tool such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to travel, both domestic and International up to 50%
  • Ability to multi-task in a high growth and fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Visio).
  • Prior ERP experience preferred, IFS a plus.
