Centura Wealth Advisory is hiring a Director of Portfolio Solutions. As the Director of Portfolio Solutions, you will drive organic and inorganic Assets Under Management "AUM" growth initiatives, provide investment support, train and develop Investment Advisors on Consulting teams, while securing new business to contribute to the growth of the organization. You will work in partnership with the Investment Department, and report to the CIO in the creation of training and collateral that aligns with the philosophy of the firm and assist in delivering those solutions directly to clients. As a critical part of new client engagements, the Director of Portfolio Solutions will partner with the Consulting Teams to ensure all Investment Advisors provide expertise on investment management services for new and existing clients. Additionally, you are expected to be at the forefront of client satisfaction through achieving client's financial goals by optimizing investment portfolio results, thereby growing existing AUM, winning new AUM mandates, and client retention.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead organic and inorganic AUM growth initiatives.
- Manage & own the team's portfolio proposal process to include creation of portfolio proposals and supporting client deliverables. Present and recommend proposed solutions to clients.
- Serve as player/coach to drive AUM Growth through the hiring, training, and development of Investment Advisors on Consulting teams.
- Participate in the recruitment of external investment advisors to join Centura Wealth Advisory, and lead the new advisor onboarding and portfolio conversion process for future external advisor tuck-ins.
- Analyze current & prospective client's investment portfolios, identifying gaps or pain points, and providing investment solutions and recommendations.
- Responsible for implementation of client proposals once approved and steward through the investment management process and life cycle.
- Manage opportunities processed within company CRM and technology systems. Own the identification and opportunity creation of new investment offerings and appropriate/suitable clients for new opportunities. Prepare and present investment offerings to clients and prospects in conjunction with the Investment Department.
- Develop investment collateral and investment-focused education materials intended for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in client meetings as the investment subject matter expert and how to best position client portfolios in alignment with their objectives and Centura's Investment philosophy.
- Stays abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive, and technical) within the fields of investments and financial services; seeks to learn and find new strategies that can benefit the firm's clients.
- Provide leadership to all members of the Investment Department and other members of Centura.
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven track record of hitting sales quotas and achieving growth to gather AUM
- Strong knowledge regarding traditional and alternative investments.
- Ability to create and present client deliverables.
- Existing relationships with CPAs, Estate Attorneys, Tax Attorneys, and other professionals that serve High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients.
- Able to design and enhance existing processes to support scaling and growth.
- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, or business administration.
- 7+ years of financial services sales experience as an advisor or in a business development function, required.
- CFA, CAIA, CFP®, CIMA, or MBA preferred, or the willingness to obtain one of the aforementioned certifications
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills required.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in building sales/business plan and executing strategy to achieve planned results.
- Proficient with the following software programs
o Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.) - Required
o Orion - Highly Preferred
o Salesforce - Preferred
o Brokerage Trading and Account Interfaces (EX: Schwab Advisor Center, Fusion, etc.)
o Market Databases and Analytics (EX: Hidden Levers, Right Capital, Ycharts, Pitchbook) etc.
