What you will do
- Monitor the performance and tuning of database systems. Resolve performance problems and tune databases for optimal performance.
- Enforce database security policies by auditing database access and providing recommendations to better secure the infrastructure.
- Install and patch database management systems and provide input for modification of policies, procedures and documentation used for daily maintenance.
- Consult with and advise users of various database systems and technologies.
- Provide on-call support for production databases systems.
- Prepare activity and progress reports regarding database issues
- Establish contacts with vendors for software support and problem resolution
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree- Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years preferred.
