Clinical Supervisor

Job Description

Duties
- Function as a senior staff member in providing clinical skills, consultation, training, and staff supervision
- Provide leadership and coordination to unlicensed and non-independently licensed staff to assure high quality of care through direct assessment and treatment; staff and intern supervision; staff training; and consultation to other agencies in compliance with board licensing laws and Statutes
- Ensure appropriate documentation standards are met around diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, case notes and required assessments
- Attempt to alleviate any possible harm to client by evaluating and correcting ethical and possibly harmful behaviors. Assist to ensure staff is qualified, competent, trained and on track developmentally in moving toward licensure
- Ensure staff interventions and services are effective, knowledgeable and best practices based on client needs. Ensuring that staff is not practicing outside of their competency, referral and consultation happen when necessary, and makes recommendations regarding treatment methods
- Duties also include integrating substance use concerns with mental health services when indicated. Ensure that the services provided are effective and of the highest quality.
- The Supervisor has awareness of his/her own competency, has knowledge of relevant and accessible resources, and can guide staff toward agencies and persons of support when necessary
- Supervisor promotes and practices self-care, appropriate boundaries, self of the therapist work, and personal and professional growth.
- Complete performance evaluations at least once a year
- Attending clinical business and clinical leadership meetings
- Doctorate or Master's degree in human services related field or equivalent experience preferred. Must hold a valid license for an LPCC, LP, LICSW, LMFT from either the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy, MN Board of Social Work, or MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy
- Board approved supervisor
- Must have training on trauma informed care and person-centered treatment planning prior to or within hire
- Must know and understand 245A.65 (Maltreatment of vulnerable adults) 626.557 (Reporting maltreatment of vulnerable adults), and 626.5572 (Definitions of abuse) and chapter 260E (reporting maltreatment of minors)
- Requires at least 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience
- Must have training and experience with clients that are dual diagnosed
- Experience working with diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds required.
Pay Range:
70k - 75k annually
