The Hamilton Co. IST Services Coordinator

Job Summary

  • This position reports to the Director of Greater Chattanooga.
  • The position will provide clinical oversite and supervision for all master's level clinic staff, Bachelor's level Health Link staff and Therapeutic Preschool (IOP) children ages 4-6.
  • Staff will provide direct care to designated clients in both clinic, Health Link and Preschool (IOP) as required for program productivity and vacancy coverage as indicated. Ensure appropriate referral, agency linkage, advocacy, home visits and follow up services are provided as per program expectations.
  • Provides crisis intervention and emergency services as well as utilizes center wide and community resources to coordinate client care.
  • Embraces the key values of trauma informed, co-occurring therapeutic interventions, case management: empowerment, normalization, rehabilitation and continuity of care.
  • Responsible for direct supervision and clinical oversight of team.

Administrative

  • Takes a lead role in hiring and retaining staff-maintains appropriate level of staffing.
  • Fills staff vacancies within 2 weeks of previous employee's termination.
  • Trains staff regarding program P&P and monthly productivity goals within one week of completing orientation.
  • Submits monthly productivity for each program supervised
  • Submits a minimum of monthly clinical services.
  • Ensures monthly program revenue goals are achieved or exceeded for the programs including increasing caseload during the interim of hiring and/or sick and vacation leaves for staff.
  • Ensures each supervised staff completes 100% of Treatment Plans/Crisis Plans due monthly.
  • Ensures each supervised staff completes notes within2- 4 working days as per policy.
  • Reviews all documentation for accuracy and completeness- meets all funder and CARF guidelines.
  • Ensures each supervised staff attends treatment team on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures each supervised staff completes required CARF modules.
  • Provides direct supervision to each staff and assists with personnel issues.
  • Monitors daily intake schedule to ensure appropriate contacts are made.
  • Ensures access to care standards are met.

Reporting

  • Submits program productivity report by the 10th of each month.
  • Submits QA/QI reports for services quarterly and annually.
  • Submits Peer Review forms quarterly.
  • Ensures supervision logs are submitted to HR monthly.
  • Coordinates completion with services coordinator submits by 10th of each month.
  • Ensures front desk and preschool staff have adequate number of bus tickets/ bus passes monthly.

Service Delivery

  • Works in a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of the SPMI population and oversees clinical standards.
  • Handles client inquiries and addresses issues as appropriate.
  • Assists with coordinating flow of intakes and directing staff; obtains Transportation Forms as necessary.
  • Responds to all flags, emails, and voicemail within 2 business days.
  • Completes all chart documentation within 2 business days.
  • Provides Treatment Floor coverage as required to meet productivity standards of program.
  • Completes initial assessment at intake during scheduled time periods.

Team Building

  • Organizes and develops team cohesion during weekly meetings.
  • Meets with staff on a consistent basis to address identified concerns.
  • Demonstrates consideration and concern for fellow workers and promotes harmonious relationships and attitudes.
  • Maintains positive relationships with internal departments to meet program needs and maximize growth.
  • Develops a positive and working relationship with outside agencies to meet program needs.
  • Gives and receives appropriate feedback.
  • Communicates directly and approaches conflict with a problem-solving approach.
  • Attends meetings quarterly/ monthly (or sends representative).

COMPENSATION:

  • Starting salary for this position is approximately $57,264/yr based on relevant experience and education.

QUALIFICATIONS - Hamilton Co. IST Services Coordinator

Experience:

  • Two years of related work experience specifically with children and youth impacted by trauma.

Education:

  • Master's Degree in health related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology or a behavioral science field with course work or experience in the area of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and intellectual disabilities.

Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be capable of receiving an F Endorsement and transporting clients.
  • Must be capable of assisting in utilizing non-violent methods of crisis intervention including therapeutic holding.
  • Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking
  • The necessary skills for this position include the ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making, ability to set and demonstrate appropriate boundaries, ability to be an empathic listener, and flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to working with diverse populations.
  • Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to effectively balance supervisory role with direct care.
