We are looking for highly talented Maintenance Tech to support our brand new facility. 

 

2nd Shift: 3pm -11:20pm (includes off-shift incentive)

Pay: $32-$39 / hour

Bonus: $5,000 Sign on bonus + eligible for quarterly bonuses 

 

       

Job Duties include:

  • Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to maintain and repair machinery and equipment.
  • Help troubleshoot, isolate, and repair machinery and equipment which may include mills, presses, conveyors, compressors, fork trucks, etc.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and provide input on updates to preventive maintenance schedules and tasks.
  • Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
  • Attend specialized equipment training as required for position.
  • Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.
  • Understands, follows, and enforces all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform simple machinist skills.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor/feedback systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic
  • Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, and conveyors
  • Maintain service records of robotic equipment and automated production systems
  • Modify and optimize computer-controlled robot movements
  • Perform preventative or corrective maintenance on robotic systems and components
  • Align, fit, and assemble components, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates
  • Operate and train personnel to use and maintain robots and other automation
  • Document robotics test procedures and results
  • Monitor robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality. Perform preventative or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components. Maintain inventories of robotic production supplies, such as sensors and cables.
  •  Edit PLC programs as needed to accommodate for changes to equipment and products.
  • Edit robot programs as needed for new palletizing patterns and make minor edits to camera OCV code inspection layouts to keep QA verifications functioning properly.
  • Edit touch-screen HMIs as necessary to accommodate for changes to equipment and products.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic valves, motors and gearboxes, and electrical and mechanical controls of the production equipment.
  • The programs and devices that a Support Technician will work around and with include, but are not limited to 3 phase motors - Allen Bradley PLC’s and Drives - KUKA and Fanuc Robot - Cognex cameras - AC/DC drive frequency controllers - Electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics

 

 

Pay Range: $32-39

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education – Minimum of a two-year degree OR equivalent controls experience.
  • Qualifications – Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • The preferred candidate will have three or more years of experience in the following:
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • Working with and setting, Ethernet, or other types of communication networks
  • PC setup and maintenance skills
  • Working with AC/DC drive frequency controllers and setup
  • Reading electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
  • Previous experience with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers
  • 3+ years progressive and practical experience and/or education setting up, programming, maintaining, and operating controlled automation and machining equipment
  • Preferred: Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
  • Familiar with robotic controls (preferably Fanuc) with the ability to develop, read and edit programs (G & M codes, tool offsets) to optimize process. The successful candidate must be willing to attend and successfully complete Fanuc Programming School
  • Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring equipment
  • Experienced using various electrical multimeters, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools
  • Assist in developing and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Strong math skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to meet production needs
