Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

role : Quality Assurance (QA) IGA Experience : 5-8 years Key Responsibilities : 1. Test Planning and Design : - Develop comprehensive test plans and cases based on business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications. - Define and document test objectives, scope, and strategies to ensure thorough coverage of IGA features and workflows. 2. Test Execution : - Conduct both manual and automated testing to validate application functionality, performance, and security. - Identify, document, and track defects from discovery through resolution. 3. Regression Testing : - Perform regression tests to confirm that recent code changes do not negatively impact existing features. - Ensure previous functionalities remain stable and perform optimally post-updates. 4. Quality Metrics and Reporting : - Track and report on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, test coverage, and test execution results. - Provide clear, actionable feedback to development teams to support ongoing quality improvements. 5. Test Automation : - Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks where applicable. - Work closely with development teams to embed automated testing processes within the CI/CD pipeline. 6. Issue Resolution and Collaboration : - Investigate and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing, conducting root cause analysis as needed. - Collaborate effectively with development teams to resolve defects and ensure high-quality deliverables. Required Skills and Qualifications : - 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, specifically within Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) applications. - Test Planning & Documentation : Proficiency in creating detailed test plans and cases based on requirements and specifications. - Manual & Automated Testing : Strong experience in both manual testing and developing automated test scripts. - Regression Testing : Proven ability to perform thorough regression testing and maintain system stability post-changes. - Automation Frameworks : Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit). - CI/CD Integration : Experience integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). - Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : Strong troubleshooting abilities to analyze and resolve defects effectively. - Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Quality Metrics Tracking : Knowledge of tracking and interpreting metrics related to defect rates, coverage, and other quality indicators. Preferred Skills : - Experience with performance testing and security testing. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub). - Working knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent for tracking and documentation.
