OASYS - Java Lead - Spring Boot/Hibernate

Position Overview : As a Java Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle for Java-based applications. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage project deliverables, and ensure high-quality outcomes. Your expertise in Java development and leadership skills will be critical in guiding the team and driving best practices. Key Responsibilities : - Requirement Gathering : Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements, gather specifications, and document functional and non-functional needs. - Stakeholder Management : Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and addressing concerns as they arise. - Development Oversight : Lead the development team in coding, testing, and delivering high-quality Java applications. Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Code Review : Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security. - Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to junior developers. - Testing and Quality Assurance : Oversee testing processes, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, to ensure the software meets quality standards before deployment. - Support and Maintenance : Provide ongoing support and maintenance for production applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to ensure minimal downtime. - Delivery Management : Plan and manage the delivery of software projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives. - Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, project managers, and quality assurance engineers, to deliver cohesive and user-friendly solutions. - Documentation : Ensure comprehensive documentation of the development process, technical specifications, and user manuals. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience (5 years) in Java development, with a strong understanding of Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc. - Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role, guiding teams through software development processes. - Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and project management practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders and team dynamics. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. , Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. - Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture is advantageous (ref:hirist.tech)
