Power BI Developer - Reporting & Dashboard Design

Primary Responsibility : The primary responsibility of a Power BI Developer is to transform raw data into actionable insights through interactive reports and dashboards, empowering organizations to make data-driven decisions. Job Summary : We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to create and manage business intelligence solutions that transform raw data into meaningful insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analytics, report creation, and dashboard development using Power BI, along with proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices. Key Responsibilities : Dashboard and Report Development : - Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business needs. - Implement advanced visualizations, charts, and KPIs to present data effectively. Data Modeling : - Build and optimize data models to support reporting needs. - Develop relationships and hierarchies between data entities for efficient analysis. Data Integration and Transformation : - Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI. - Use Power Query to clean, merge, and manipulate datasets for analysis. DAX Calculations : - Write and optimize DAX queries for custom calculations and measures. - Implement complex formulas to derive meaningful metrics. Collaboration with Stakeholders : - Work closely with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and define KPIs. - Translate business needs into technical specifications for Power BI solutions. Performance Optimization : - Optimize report and dashboard performance by managing data volume and query complexity. - Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to ensure seamless functionality. Security and Access Management : - Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage user access permissions for data confidentiality. - Ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies. Training and Support : - Provide training and guidance to end-users on Power BI functionality. - Offer ongoing support and updates to existing Power BI solutions. Required Skills : Technical Skills : - Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and visualization tools. - Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation. - Experience with data warehousing and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, or Oracle). Data Analytics : - Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schemas. - Familiarity with statistical and analytical techniques for data interpretation. Integration with Data Sources : - Experience connecting Power BI with diverse data sources, including Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms. - Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, or SSIS is a plus. Soft Skills : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong communication skills to explain data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
