About the role : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Engineering Manager.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments, with additional experience in healthcare being a significant advantage. As a Java Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Java developers to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions using technologies such as Spring, Tomcat, and Java EE. Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, providing guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design architecture, and develop solutions that meet business objectives. - Drive the adoption of best practices and standards for Java development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability. - Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the development process and improve overall efficiency. - Oversee the deployment of Java applications to both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. - Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. - Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in Java technology and healthcare industry standards. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 8-10 years of experience in enterprise Java development, with a strong understanding of Java EE technologies. - Experience working in healthcare or related industries is preferred. - Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team of developers. - Solid understanding of Spring framework, Tomcat, and other Java-based technologies. - Experience with both on-premises and cloud environments, preferably AWS or Azure. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
