Database Architect - Snowflake DB

Database Architect Key Responsibilities : - Define data models and schema structures for efficient data integration from multiple database - Develop and manage ETL processes to move data from diverse sources into the Snowflake data warehouse. - Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the ETL process - Leverage Snowflake's capabilities for cross-database queries and data sharing to facilitate seamless data integration between sources Essential : - Experience designing scalable database schemas with good read and write performance - Develop and manage ETL processes to move data from diverse sources into the Snowflake data warehouse. - Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the ETL process - Experience analysing and improving existing database schemas - Experience of two or more of PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle - Experience writing performant SQL queries and advising developers on SQL performance and concurrency - Knowledge and experience of database archive strategies - Experience in Financial Services environment Desirable : - Experience querying and writing to databases from systems using Java JDBC - Experience maintaining database schemas using Liquibase - Both on premise and AWS RDS experience - Knowledge of in-memory such as Hazelcast - Capital Markets background (ref:hirist.tech)
