SAP Project Specialist

Role : SAP/S4 HANA/Ariba Business Cutover Lead. Period : 6-9 months, potential extension. Experience : >14 years with minimum of 10 years project/program management experience, preferably in the technology sector and/or business transformation. Joining : Immediate Joiners. Location : Bangalore. Purpose : To manage the business cutover activities required to enable the Release of a Business Operations Transformation (BOT) Project to be successfully implemented in country and Global Business Operations (GBO) partner with the minimum disruption to the operating companies. Roles and Responsibilities : Key Tasks : - Cutover Approach. - Detailed Integrated Cutover Plan including Business activities. - Business Contingency approach for Cutover. - Status/Progress Reports. - Business Readiness Check during Cutover. - Go-Live week. - Successful Cutover. Responsibilities : - Work with Central Cutover leads to build business cutover approach & plan and then engage with the APAC countries for implementation. - Cutover Approach Define scope, HL planning, principles and key activities & dates for each of the Cutover areas (Ariba, Data, Business etc.) Cutover plan Define, plan and manage the Business activities as part of the overall Cutover, covering : a. Ramp Down task (i.e. , clear open items, synch, close legacy processing etc. b. Special handling during freeze periods (i.e. dual data maintenance, manual transactional logs, etc. c. Ramp Up task (i.e. process transactions from freeze period in new solution, etc.) - Plan business contingency activities for extended freeze periods. - Build and implement the Market Engagement strategy to ensure the BOT local market team, market management and other key stakeholders are aware, informed and up to date with their responsibilities throughout the cutover process. - Communication with relevant internal & external stakeholders. - Handshake Business Cutover Activities with Cutover Data Migration and Technical Cutover Teams and support handover to Hypercare and support. Key previous experience and proven skills : - Minimum of 10 years project/programme management experience, preferably in the technology sector and/or business transformation. - SAP implementation experience. - Holds a formal project management qualification. - Ability to produce and actively manage detailed complex plans. - Experience of complex programme management in a technological or commercial context. - Strong motivational skills. - Ability to make balanced decisions. - Ability to enforce rigour and structure in terms of deliverables and end products, whilst maintaining the agility to adapt to a dynamic and constantly changing environment. - Continually assess skills and capabilities and address performance issues of team members where appropriate. - Strong risk and issue management. Capabilities and Knowledge : - SAP S4/HANA knowledge and Cutover management experience. - Experienced and accomplished Project Manager. - Excellent written & verbal communication skills. - Ability to implement structure & organization where & when required. - Excellent planning & coordination skills. - Ability to "see the bigger picture". - Ability to work at a detailed level when required. - Excellent analytical skills. - Driven and results focused - Ability to get to the root cause of a problem and resolve it quickly & successfully. - Experience of working in multi-site international environments. - Proven senior stakeholder management skills.
