Senior Data Engineer - Python/SQL

Experience - 4yrs Skill Set - Python, SQL, GCP, ETL (All mandatory) Location - Delhi/NCR Role Overview : We are looking for a go getter person who can define : 1. Analytic strategies to meet the demands of business requirements 2. Technical requirements of the analytic solutions 3. Data requirements of the analytic solution processes - The person will be part of the Data Engineering team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders as SME for data engineering - Acquire data from primary or secondary sources, implement data collection systems and maintain databases. - Identify, develop and implement reporting and analytic tools - Develop dashboards for visual representation of performance using visual reporting tools - Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new solutions - A typical work day will involve working with stakeholders in individual contributor. - A suitable candidate should have 4-7 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity. - Experience in property and casualty insurance/actuarial projects preferred. Key Responsibilities & Skillsets : Common Skillsets : - 4 years of experience in analytics ETL and associated data engineering jobs. - Experience with Google Cloud Platform services - Experience with scripting and data wrangling using Python. - Experience with creating Process flows with tools like Airflow. - Excellent communication & presentation skills - Experience in managing SQL codes and collaborating with customer on model evolution - Good knowledge of SQL, Big Query and GCP Data Management Skillsets : - Ability to understand data models and identify ETL optimization opportunities. Exposure to ETL tools is preferred - Should have strong grasp of advanced SQL functionalities (joins, nested query, and procedures). - Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements Candidate Profile : - Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply - Strong and in-depth understanding of DE Fundamentals - Data analysis experience - Superior analytical and problem solving skills - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges (ref:hirist.tech)
