Software Development Engineer - Test III - Functional/API Testing

Responsibilities : - Conduct functional testing to ensure the quality of our applications. - Automate API testing using Python and other relevant tools. - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing. - Collaborate with the development and QA teams to identify and fix defects. - Participate in the review of requirements and specifications, and provide feedback on testability. - Develop and execute test plans and test cases for new and existing features. - Analyse test results, identify trends and report issues to stakeholders. - Continuously improve testing processes and automation frameworks. - Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices in testing and : - 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation. - Strong experience in functional testing and API testing. - Proficiency in Python and experience with Python-based test automation frameworks. - Familiarity with testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar. - Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software. - Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of performance and security testing.
