Engineering Manager - MERN Stack

Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager with expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js ) to lead and manage our talented team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for developing cutting-edge GRC solutions. As an Engineering Manager at Scrut Automation, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and delivery of our platform, ensuring high-quality performance, scalability, and : - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4 to 10 engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of MERN stack applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high quality GRC solutions on time and within budget. - Drive the technical roadmap and contribute to architectural decisions to ensure the scalability and robustness of the platform. - Implement and promote Agile methodologies, facilitating regular sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Provide technical guidance and support to team members, conducting code reviews and ensuring continuous improvement. - Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, advocating for their adoption when beneficial to the platform. - Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth within the engineering team. Requirements : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a team management or leadership role. - Strong proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js ). - Demonstrated experience managing and scaling engineering teams, with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully. - In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. - Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within a team. - Experience in GRC or a related field is a plus.
