Security Analyst - SIEM

Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security and a proven track record in identifying and mitigating security risks. You will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's information assets and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. Key Responsibilities : Security Monitoring : - Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools to identify potential threats. Incident Response : - Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Prepare incident reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Vulnerability Assessment : - Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks. Recommend and prioritize remediation measures. Security Policy Development : - Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures to protect information assets and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Risk Assessment : - Perform risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Collaboration : - Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle and operational processes. Security Awareness : - Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices and promote a security-conscious culture within the organization. Key Skills : - In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and endpoint security. - Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools. - Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. - 7 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security analysis and incident response.
