Role : Backend Developer (Node.js) We are looking for a Node.js Developer with 5 years of experience responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. Responsibilities : - Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. - Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. - Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications. - Implementation of security and data protection. - Integration of data storage solutions. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various front-end functionalities. - Monitor and optimize application performance to ensure efficient and reliable operation. - Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and improve system stability. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality. - Mentor and support junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to continuously improve development processes. - Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and secure handling of sensitive information. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture. - Lead a team of at least 5 developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment. Skills and Qualifications : - Strong proficiency with JavaScript. - Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it like Express, Sequelize, etc. - Experience with TypeScript and its integration with Node.js applications. - Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds. - Good understanding of server-side templating languages EJS, etc. - Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors Scss, Sass, Less, etc. - Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3. - Understanding accessibility and security compliance. - User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments. - Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system. - Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. - Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform. - Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes. - Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests. - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. What are we looking for : - 5 years of experience in Node.js and frameworks available for it like Express, Sequelize, etc. - Experience with TypeScript and its integration with Node.js applications. Educational Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field. Additional Information : This position is on-site, with work locations in Hyderabad.
