Softpath Technologies - AS400 Developer - iSeries/RPG

Role : AS400Developer Experience : 5 - 8 Yrs. Location : Pune, Hyderabad (Hybrid 3/2 days office) Must have : - Strong i-series knowledge (AS400 (RPG/400, CL/400 ,RPGLE , CLLE , OS400 , DB2/400, SQLRPG) relevant exp 4years - RTC, RDi, ARCAD knowledge is a must. - Prior experience of working on production support environment is recommended. - Strong communication skills and Problem solving attitude. - Understanding of working in financial services. - Willingness to work for On-call production support in night / weekends. - Prior Experience of working on HUB (HSBC application) is highly preferred. Good to have : - Knowledge on tools like Service Now for Incident Management - Hands-on exp on tools like Ansible and Jenkins. - Good to have knowledge about control-m scheduling. - Knowledge of working on Custody Domain - Develop and maintain AS400 applications using RPG, CL, and other relevant technologies. - Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions. - Implement and test software solutions to ensure they meet business needs. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AS400 applications and systems. - Optimize system performance and ensure data integrity and security. - Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders. - Provide technical support and guidance to end-users. - Document technical specifications and procedures. - Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. - Stay updated with the latest AS400 technologies and best practices. - Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms. - Develop and maintain batch jobs and data processing routines. - Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed. - Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. - Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. - Provide training and support to junior developers. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. - Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively. - Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. - Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in AS400 development. - Proficiency in RPG, CL, and other AS400 programming languages. - Strong understanding of AS400 architecture and system operations. - Experience with SQL and database management on AS400. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. - Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. - Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes. - Familiarity with modern development tools and practices. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements. - Experience with web services and APIs is a plus.
