Backend Developer - AWS/Node.js

Responsibilities : - Backend Developer with a strong foundation in backend services, server integration, and Node.js. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services on AWS, utilizing core services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC. - Build and maintain high-performance APIs and microservices in Node.js to support real-time data processing, RESTful endpoints, and serverless architectures. - Work with databases (e.g, DynamoDB, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and optimize database queries, indexing, and data retrieval for efficient backend operations. - Integrate and manage various server technologies, set up load balancers, and configure server-side caching solutions (e.g, Redis, Memcached) to enhance application performance. - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline) for automated deployment, testing, and monitoring of backend services. - Ensure backend systems comply with best practices for security, including encryption, identity and access management, monitoring, and vulnerability assessment. - Monitor and optimize backend performance with AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and other monitoring tools to ensure high availability and swift troubleshooting. - Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers to define requirements, scope projects, and document architecture and processes. Required Skills and Experience : - Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, including asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures. - In-depth knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, etc.) and experience building serverless applications. - Experience with database technologies (DynamoDB, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and database optimization techniques. - Proficiency in RESTful API design and development. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. - Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience with server-side caching solutions (Redis, Memcached). - Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with GraphQL API development. - Understanding of serverless frameworks (Serverless Framework, AWS SAM).
