Position: Occupational Therapist (IMMEDIATE OPENING)

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Match has an immediate opening for an Occupational Therapist (OT), who will play a key role in supporting our students, and will be a key member of our Special Education Department. This is a full-time in-person position at Matchs middle school , located on 215 Forest Hills St. in Hyde Park, MA, and the high school, located on 1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton. The OT will spend approximately 50% of the time at either school.
The compensation for a Match OT position ranges from $67,812-$104,899 and is based on a candidates prior years of full-time experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The OT will provide a high level of support to students requiring occupational therapy. Areas of focus will include the development of fine and gross motor skills, adaptive living skills, as well as sensory processing and self-regulation skills. The OT will work with students with a wide range of disabilities. The OT will also conduct occupational therapy assessments with students. The OT will consult with teachers regarding best practices for the students on their caseload, in addition to attending annual IEP meetings and evaluation meetings. The OT will need to be comfortable with providing inclusion and pull out support.
The Occupational Therapist will report directly to the Special Education Director at the middle school.
QUALIFICATIONS
Competitive applicants will:
- Have 1-3 years of experience as an occupational therapist.
- Hold valid and appropriate licensure for practice in the state of Massachusetts.
- Have experience working in school-based urban settings.
- Hold a deep belief that all students can and will succeed.
- Possess a desire to continually improve their practice as an educator by taking and implementing feedback.
- Have a proven record of student success and achievement.
- Have an incredible amount of patience and willingness to go the extra mile.
