We are looking for a Propulsion System Engineer to join our team in Italy. You will become part of a growing Spacecraft Propulsion group. Within this team, you will contribute to the definition and improvement of the Propulsion System designs of Spacecrafts. The activities will range from the specification definition up to the support to AIV activities and will include the execution of tests and technical interactions with suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Follow the design and development of propulsion subsystem composed chemical thruster. Management of technical coordination between multiple suppliers. Regularly reporting to the Head of Propulsion and Lead System Engineer. Definition of Propulsion Subsystem requirements. Support in the analyses for the propulsion subsystem. Support for satellite propulsion AIV activities. Qualifications and Requirements: Deep understanding of the functioning of green chemical propulsion system, and of the disciplines involved. Experience with fluidic, pressurized system (pressure vessels), propulsion equipment. Experience with pressurized systems. Analytical and modelling skills with EcosimPro/RPA. Knowledge of thermodynamics. Previous experience with chemical propulsion system development. Previous experience in institutional project. Strong experience in reading and creating P&ID's. Strong familiarity with ECSS standards. Knowledge of programming languages (Python, C, Matlab, others). Preferential Skills: Experience with tanks development and qualification. Previous experience with Nitrous Oxide. Previous experience with Self-pressurized fluids. Experience with CAD modelling software. Basic experience in CFD software. Education: Master's degree in aerospace engineering is required. PhD in related field is a strong asset. Professional Experience: Required experience: 2-5y in chemical propulsion field.
