In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. Reporting into the country manager, the District Manager: Accountability for customer relationships and performance in a specific territory, managing the 10 sales force and FTEs to maximize revenue and profitable growth for Abbott, in collaboration with Market Access, Marketing, Education & Customer Program departments. Key decisions around strategy and following priorities of the assigned territory, including KOL management plan and corrective actions around underperforming situations. Maintain and extend deep and broad relationships with accounts, customers, and professionals within the medical community. Work closely with the FTE Supervisor to ensure optimal territory technical coverage and guarantee the best clinical support for complex procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent and typically five to seven years of sales or clinical support experience with proven experience influencing customers in a healthcare-related setting, ideally in the medical device industry; experience in cardiology or cardiac medical devices preferred. Aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices. Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures. Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of customers and colleagues, effectively directing others by using behavioral styles and adapting communication. Strong negotiation and presentation skills. Willingness to travel 70% of the time.
