Mobile Automation Test Engineer - Selenium/Java

Role Description : This is a full-time on-site role for an Mobile Automation Test Engineer (Appium) in Delhi. The Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, conducting application testing, and ensuring software development quality assurance. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Appium and Selenium to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products across different platforms and devices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and quality assurance analysts to understand requirements and design appropriate test scenarios. - Design and implement test automation frameworks tailored to the specific needs of our applications, focusing on reusability, scalability, and maintainability. - Conduct performance testing to evaluate the responsiveness, scalability, and stability of applications under various load conditions, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks. - Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and security weaknesses in applications, working closely with security experts to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with security standards. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. - Document test cases, test plans, and test reports to ensure traceability and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to test automation, performance testing, and security testing, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our testing processes. - Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices for test automation, performance testing, and security testing Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - Test Cases, Testing, and Application Testing skills - Strong knowledge of Appium for mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms. - Proficiency in REST API testing, including tools like Postman or Swagger. - Solid programming skills in Java, with experience in writing and maintaining automation scripts. - Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG. - Experience with version control systems (e.g. , Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins). - Experience in creating and executing test cases - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Understanding of software development lifecycle - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities (ref:hirist.tech)
