Job Description : - Develop and execute comprehensive automated test scripts using Robot Framework. - Design and implement API automation leveraging Python or another automation language. - Partner with testing and development teams to identify high-impact test cases and automate them effectively. - Ensure automated tests are maintainable, scalable, and performant. - Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in automation testing. - Communicate effectively with developers and testers to understand testing requirements. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. - Proactively identify opportunities to improve the automation framework and testing processes. - Analyze test results and report defects. - Contribute to the overall test strategy and planning. Qualifications : - 5 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role. - Strong proficiency in Python and Robot Framework. - Experience implementing API automation with Python or a similar language (e., Java). - Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Bonus points for : - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with other automation testing frameworks (e., Selenium). - A passion for software quality and a love for crafting creative solutions (ref:hirist.tech)
