SAP HANA Developer - Data Services

Job Title : SAP HANA Database Administrator / Developer. Location : Pune (Hybrid work model). Job Responsibilities : SAP HANA Implementation & Support : - Install, configure, and maintain SAP HANA databases across different environments (development, testing, production). - Monitor system performance, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and efficient data processing. - Ensure the implementation of best practices for database optimization and backup/recovery strategies. Database Management : - Manage database configurations and patches, and implement upgrades to ensure system compatibility. - Administer database access, security policies, and role-based permissions. Performance Optimization : - Analyze and fine-tune performance, improving queries, indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies. - Work with developers on optimizing SQL queries and implementing efficient database designs. Backup and Recovery : - Design and maintain backup and recovery procedures for disaster recovery plans. - Perform regular database backups and restore them as needed. Data Modeling & Development : - Develop and maintain data models, views, and stored procedures in SAP HANA. - Work with SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, or related modules to develop data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Collaboration : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BI, developers, system admins) to implement SAP HANA-related solutions. - Provide training and support to users on SAP HANA capabilities. Required Skills : - Extensive experience with SAP HANA database administration, setup, and performance tuning. - Proficiency in SAP HANA Studio, HANA DB SQL scripts, and data modeling tools. - Solid understanding of SAP HANA architecture, including in-memory computing. - Experience with database performance optimization techniques (indexing, partitioning). - Familiarity with HANA backup and disaster recovery strategies. Preferred Qualifications : - SAP HANA Certification. - Knowledge of SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, or related SAP modules. - Hands-on experience with cloud databases like AWS or Azure for SAP HANA. Experience : - 3-5 years of experience in SAP HANA database administration and development. (ref:hirist.tech)
