ColdFusion Developer

Job Title : Senior ColdFusion Developer Location : Hyderabad Job Summary : The Senior ColdFusion Developer will be responsible for leading the design and development of web-based applications using Adobe ColdFusion. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in ColdFusion programming and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of web solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Application Development : Lead and participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of web-based applications using ColdFusion. - Code Optimization : Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, ensuring applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security. - Requirement Analysis : Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, understand, and define technical and functional requirements. - Database Management : Design and manage complex relational databases, write SQL queries, and optimize database performance. - Project Leadership : Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership in design and code reviews. - Testing & Debugging : Develop unit tests, perform debugging, and fix any issues related to application functionality, performance, or security. - Documentation : Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for development processes and system architecture. - API Integration : Develop and integrate RESTful web services and third-party APIs to enhance application functionality. - Version Control : Use version control systems (like Git) to manage and document code changes. - Security Compliance : Ensure that applications comply with security best practices and data protection policies. Required Qualifications : - Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Adobe ColdFusion (versions 10 and above). - Programming Languages : Proficient in ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3. - Database Skills : Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and experience with writing SQL queries. - Web Development : Proficiency in front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, AngularJS, or React is a plus. - Web Services : Experience with REST and SOAP web services. - Version Control : Familiarity with Git, SVN, or similar version control systems. - Problem Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Security : Understanding of secure coding practices and how to protect applications against common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL Injection, XSS). - Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Preferred Qualifications : - Frameworks : Experience with ColdFusion frameworks such as ColdBox or Fusebox. - DevOps : Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure). - Agile Experience : Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Certifications : Adobe ColdFusion certification or other relevant industry certifications. Soft Skills : - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. - Strong attention to detail and focus on delivering high-quality solutions. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
