T24 Developer - Banking Applications

Job Overview : The T24 Environment Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing the T24 environments within the organization, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. This role plays a critical part in supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring that T24-based banking applications are running efficiently. The T24 Environment Lead will work closely with other teams, such as application development, infrastructure, and security, to ensure a seamless integration of the T24 environment with the overall IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : - Manage multiple T24 environments, including development, testing, staging, and production environments, ensuring they are available, secure, and performing optimally. - Coordinate environment provisioning and decommissioning for various projects, ensuring the proper resources are allocated in alignment with business needs. - Act as the primary point of contact for any environment-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution of problems. - Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in the T24 banking software, including its architecture, configuration, and customization to ensure a smooth functioning of all environments. - Oversee and support T24 installations, upgrades, and patches, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transition between versions. - Collaborate with other teams to implement T24 customizations and configurations as required by business processes. - Implement and manage performance tuning measures across T24 environments to ensure high performance and availability, including database optimization, load balancing, and system monitoring. - Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, ensuring that systems meet the required service levels. - Conduct periodic performance reviews and capacity planning to ensure that the T24 environments can handle increasing workloads without degradation. - Ensure that the T24 environments adhere to security best practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance with regulatory standards. - Manage user access rights and roles within the T24 system, enforcing security protocols to mitigate the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches. - Continuously monitor for potential security vulnerabilities in the environment and implement proactive measures to safeguard the integrity of the systems. - Work closely with the application development team, infrastructure team, and security team to ensure that T24 environments align with overall IT policies and strategies. - Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve environment-related issues quickly and efficiently. - Coordinate with business and IT teams to manage environment changes, deployments, and system migrations. - Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex incidents and system errors in the T24 environment, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. - Provide root cause analysis for recurring issues and collaborate with relevant teams to develop long-term solutions. - Document incidents, problems, and resolutions to maintain a knowledge base for future reference. Technical Skills : - Deep understanding of T24 banking software, its architecture, modules, and customizations. - Proficiency in T24 environment management tools and techniques. - Experience in performance tuning of databases (Oracle, SQL) and application servers to optimize the performance of the T24 system. - Expertise in configuring and customizing T24 environments to meet specific business requirements. - Familiarity with T24 "fast-track" and other configuration methods. - Solid knowledge of T24 security best practices and the ability to implement and monitor security controls such as access management, encryption, and vulnerability patching. - Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl for automating environment-related tasks. - Proficiency in Linux/Unix, as well as basic knowledge of Windows-based environments. - Experience with monitoring tools (e.g, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk) to ensure environment health and availability, and generating performance reports. Qualifications : - Bachelor's/ master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - 3 years of experience in T24 environment management, banking software, or similar roles. - Experience in performance tuning and security practices related to T24 environments. - Experience managing large-scale complex T24 environments, including database management and network configurations. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to banking software and IT infrastructure (ref:hirist.tech)
