Manual Tester - Software Quality Assurance

Job Description : We are looking for a skilled Manual Tester with strong SQL expertise to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will focus on ensuring software quality through rigorous manual testing and will leverage their SQL knowledge to validate backend processes, data integrity, and database functionality. Key Responsibilities : - Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and scenarios based on business and functional requirements. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. - Utilize SQL queries extensively to validate and verify backend data, database functionality, and data migrations. - Identify, report, and track bugs using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure adequate test coverage. - Conduct database testing, including stored procedures, triggers, and indexing validations. - Create and maintain documentation for test results, processes, and findings. - Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback to improve product Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3 years of experience in manual testing for web, mobile, or desktop applications. - Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis. - Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr). - Knowledge of defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Good understanding of database concepts, including schemas, tables, indexes, and joins. - Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
